The AE Plan

Logging into your account

Just like a bank account, you can log into your pension account online. Whenever you wish, you can check your account balance, manage contributions and monitor the performance and pricing of the funds you invest in.

You can also check, change and add personal details like telephone numbers and email addresses to help Aegon administer your account more effectively.

When you join the Plan, Aegon will provide you with:

  • A 'Confirmation pack' containing information about the Plan and a Guide to the online services.
  • Two 'Welcome' letters (sent independently for security):

    – the first letter details your "user login"

    – the second provides your "password". (You will be prompted to change your password to something more memorable when you first log on to your account. In addition, you will be able to improve security by providing personalised answers to a range of questions.)

Annual statement

You will receive a statement each year showing you the value of your pension account and an illustration of the pension that you might to be able to buy with it when you retire.

How is the value of my pension account worked out?

Each of the investment funds offered under the Plan is split into units of equal value. The price of a unit goes up and down depending on the value of the assets held in the investment fund. Aegon work out the price of a unit each day and each contribution that you pay 'buys' units at the current price.

The value of your pension account will vary, depending on the number of units that you have bought and the price of units in the fund at the time.
